I know it's getting late early, and there are only 161 more games to go, but there is still time to get back in the race.
CC is only the Opening Day starter because he's the big guy in the rotation. It's due to respect that he's made so many opening starts. He's utterly awful on Opening Day every year (his ERA is in the mid-8's I believe). A positive though is how quickly he turned it around. Apart from the first two innings he was actually pretty good. Even those first two innings were largely impacted by the defense's attempt to be the Bad News Bears.
The hitting was a bit weak, but that's not too worrisome yet.
