If in 4 years he becomes half the player TY Hilton became in 2, this pick will be a success

*this draft

I think Amaro and Pryor are relatively safe draft picks. Maybe not allpro players, but definitely positive contributors

If we get one good receiver to, then just a bunch of pretty good special teamers I'd consider it a pretty damn successful draft.

Gr-8 quote frm Jet draft pick WR Jalen Saunders:  I would describe my playing style like a gorilla. I’m a savage on that field.''

It's amazing what these kids are coached to say in this new generation of draftees.

Every single pick has some awesome quote about who they're going to be in this league. I like that they project that confidence, and it beats the bullshit lines of "I'm going to study the Playbook and do my best." But the cool quotes are ultimately meaningless. You can be a beast, or "get this roll on," but all that matters is turning into a good player.

I remember saying how much I like Saunders early in the season and E called him a traitor LOL...leaving Fresno State.

Jets finally have some play makers. It's been a long time since we had a player that can play like Saunders.

Part of me knew Jalen was gonna end up on this team somehow when E said that. He totally jinxed himself.

Saunders is going to be fun to watch.

Stops and starts faster than almost anyone in this draft class.

All kiddng aside, E knows the talent this Kid has, can't wait to see him on the field. I hope it's true he gained a few lbs.

Anyone else thinks Saunders mean we will actually be using 4 WR sets ?

I mean Decker and Kerley on the field is a given. Then you figure well want at least 2 outside receivers on the field at a time (be it also Nelson/Hill/Shaq whoever) (in addition to Decker) then add in Saunders ?

Cant even begin to think of the last time I recall the Jets legitimately using 4 wr sets

Rarely. I think it's far more likely Amaro or Cumberland play those roles if we go 4 wides. Lots of options now, including Amaro and Cumberland.

I like the possibilities we have of single-back offenses with receivers and tight ends who can also block. Saunders and Chris Johnson and Kerley are good in space, too.

We never really liked using Cumberland a lot in the passing game.

I dont see that changing now.

I could certainly see Decker/Kerley/Saunders/Amaro + (Hill/Nelson/Evans) all on the field at once.

E hated him.

He returned to one of my favorite teams.  All is right in the world.

Hopefully there's no pollen in Florham Park or he may request a trade.
He shook my hand breed tub and walked away

A friend of mine is a Jags/Canes fan and he was all fired up when they picked Storm Johnson. He texted me "transfer now you fucker". I stole his comment for the draft thread.

Let's ask Alabama if Saunders can separate.

I found an early comment I made on Saunders.

He looks slight, but if he's 170 at the combine/pro day I'm all about getting this kid.  He has the skill set of a first rounder, from hands to routes to speed.

The more I see, the more I like.

Btw what was that punter doing? Saunders was already past him, and he dove anyways.
Need a new one for a new board...
