Huge talent.  The next few QB classes are trash.  You take a shot on Hack every time in this spot with our QB situation.

This fits with our history with 2nd round picks

This is what I thought we'd do.

I thought Hackenberg was trash in college. I also thought Bryce Petty was overrated in college.

This may be my least favorite draft pick ever.

It's worth it to take a stab at a QB. Hack at the very least has the smarts to be a franchise QB, so I can't full on hate it. That being said, his performance in his last couple of years of college makes this a bit scary

This
My dad always says he's undefeated at tailgating

Maybe it's not I who doesn't know what he's talking about

Between Geno, Petty, and Hackenberg, the Jets seem to love taking QBs that I didn't like, but convinced myself they were decent picks after the draft.

Hackenberg wasn't surrounded by much at Penn State after Allen Robinson left.  Same excuses were used for Lynch's struggles.

This is a player that at a one point was considered the next great quarterback prospect.

He's a Jet now.  I'll give him a chance.  He's in a situation where he'll be around a lot of good veterans at the skill position and hopefully he'll get to learn from Ryan Fitzpatrick.
