My differences:

-Owusu over Walter Powell (I don't think Powell played a snap at WR last night)
-Flynn over Josh Johnson (more experienced in a pinch)
-Ijalana over Qvale

-Flynn over Josh Johnson (more experienced in a pinch)
-Ijalana over Qvale

My thought is we are only keeping a 6th WR if he can contribute somewhere the top 3-4 guys will do the WR work, with Devin Smith mixing in on occasion once his ribs heal. So if Powell wins the return man gig, he gets to stay if he loses the gig he's gone. Owusu is basically Greg Salad, he should never ever get a chance to play, but if he's forced into action he could be sort of viable - ish. And guys like that, can be signed off the street in a pinch situation.

I actually forgot all about Brian Winters, and opted to keep him over Qvale and Ijalana, in part because Qvale has PS eligibility left. Ijalana is a solid swing man, but I think Aboushi will take that role from him this year, and no need to keep an older swing man over a guy who was a 3rd rounder a couple of years ago who looked to be coming into his own last year when he got hurt. By all accounts Winters seems to have lost the starting OG battle, but would be next man up if/when Colons inevitable injury occurs.

As far as Josh Johnson goes, we signed him so fast when he got cut, I have to think he was a guy very high on our "potentially available QBs, we might need in a pinch" list. Given Flynn isn't actually healthy, I don't even know if he's gone through a practice yet, it's hard for me to say he's a lock to be on the roster. I think we will see quite a bit of Johnaon in Post-Petty mop up duty next weekend, which should determine which guy we keep.

Now that I think about it, won't Sheldon be on a reserve/suspension list thus opening up a roster spot for the four week hiatus?

If so we almost certainly keep another DL perhaps Bowen or Vickerson make the cut there?

I thought Gailey liked his 5 wide sets? If you're using that many receivers in the playbook you need at least 6 on the roster to allow for injuries, weed, domestic violence etc.

That could be I hadn't accounted for that. But I could easily see him making a guy like Amaro be our 3rd or 4th option in those sets.

Reilly over Babin. Babin has been with this team for a while now and I can't remember him ever making a play on the field.

Didn't we just sign him last year?

Yes, and do you remember one play in any game?  He's an older guy with no upside.  It's like another Andre Wadsworth experiment, but with more time here.  We need to move on.
