That really did suck. I kept hitting F5 to see if the site would load like every 20 minutes during the work day. Unfortunately, I don't have any advice regarding hosts. The reality is, I think they all suck. Unless you're a top-tier customer paying loads of cash monthly to have dedicated servers and T1 connections, you're probably up excrement's creek when something goes wrong.

What about Amazon? I know a lot of big businesses use it, including Netflix. I've never really looked into it, but if their backbone supports Netflix, one would assume uptime is pretty good. Amazon Web Services

I had a look at AWS when we first set JO up, but they're not really designed for what we're doing. They don't seem to do off the shelf bundled services, they're more focused on helping businesses large and small to build hybrid cloud models. It's a good idea, but we need someone more consumer-focused where AWS is primarily enterprise-driven.

There shouldn't be a money issue. We need to find out what the notice period is, but Bluehost do allow us to get out of our contract and get our money back.

We use them in my office they're pretty good. For just hosting check out DigitalOcean and Vultr. Cheaper options are A Small Orange and SiteGround
