He will never win an Oscar obviously, yeah he's not a great actor, but he seems like a very likable person, which is why he's so highly paid. He lives a stones throw from my parents and frequents the restaurants around there and I have never heard a bad word uttered about him. He has his own table in a pizza joint in town and will sign autographs and take pics till the cows come home.

The Rock didn't appear until the 5th or 6th Fast movie, right? Hard to say he helped launch it.

I still haven't watched any after the first.

Apparently they think he's Vin Diesel too.

2 and 3 weren't good, but after that they became solid popcorn flicks.

Just watched The D Train because I like Jack Black. It was really weird.

To me, he pretty much ruins every movie he is in ...no offense Tommy.

I liked him School of Rock. He had his moments in Saving Silverman and Tropic Thunder.

He was *excellent* in Bernie. Hard to think of a role he was better suited for. I also thought he was hilarious in The Brink, although I get why HBO canceled it, since it has a loose tone semblance to Veep.

He was in the third, wasn't he? Or was that the Tokyo Drift thing? He's been in it since fairly early though. But saying he "launched" it is a disservice to Vin Diesel.

Yeah, I've never met him, but he seems like a really decent guy.

I've seen pieces of them and I agree.

This. He's very well suited to comedy that appeals to children (Kung Fu Panda). That whole "zany idiot" schtick. I liked Be Kind Rewind too.

The Brink was great.  Not because of him or in spite of him, but he was fine.

Forgot about that one. I enjoyed it. Not a great movie, but entertaining

Orange County was Ok. Liked school of Rock and saving Silverman. I watched that awful King Kong movie and every time he tried to act I laughed.

That movie was dog excrement, and made me want to punch Colin Hanks in the face ever since.

I remember how annoyed I was that I paid to see that movie in the theater and apologized to the people I was with for convincing them to go see it.
