In his defense, the world needs to see how the Wyld Stallions saving the universe played out.

Sadly, George Carlin isn't around to reprise his role.

If the story is to be believed, he gave 75mill to all the stunt and fx people that worked the Matrix trilogy. Well that was what the percentage he gave away was eventually worth. He gave it at how own accord.

I think that rumor has been shut down several times, if i recall.

I don't know that for sure but I remember hearing Dan LeBatard talk about it and they did some fact checking on it. I believe he even discussed it in the interview with Keanu

I'm trying to think of other "duos" at least in TV/movies that became well known but then they split as individuals and had such varying degrees of success. There's plenty of examples in music and radio but TV series and movies feel different because of how many projects can be individual, compared to the continuous collaboration of say... radio hosts or musicians/bands.

Peter Scolari and Tom Hanks come to mind. (Bosom Buddies)

I'd say Kimmel and Carolla for awhile, but Carolla just took longer to get there because he was more abrasive than Jimmy and needed a more underground/artistic path. He doesn't quite have Jimmy's fame but it's not this gigantic gulf anymore.

Just finished watching the new Mortal Kombat movie.  Special effects were great...but the movie itself was pretty cheesy.  I enjoyed playing the game when i was a kid, so i enjoyed it.
Yeah as a piece of cinema it was pretty terrible. But as a way to kill 2 hours it was pretty fun.

Everyone's acting in this movie was awful except for Kano.

A Facebook review:

Quote
I really wasn’t digging the Chinese Raiden, had no idea who the main character was, and that bat chick, Lou Kane was entirely too weird, and I thought the storyline absolutely sucked.

"Lou Kane"

It's impossible for an MK movie to be actually good. Only when you see where the ceiling is can you form an opinion worth a excrement.

I thought it was OK.  It reminded me of Godzilla vs. Kong: if you're evaluating the bits in between the fights, you're doing it wrong.

Lou Kane spamming the leg sweep got a genuine laugh from me.

I did really enjoy that. They missed a great opportunity with the Jax fight.

If the whole movie had the same tone as the intro it might have a chance, but any movie that dips hard into fan service is doomed.

100% except I don't see why they'd make one, I bet this isn't the tentpole they imagined it to be.

Got my Greasy Tony's t-shirt in the mail.  "No charge for extra grease".

My wife thinks it's stupid, but at least I didn't get the "Give me head til I'm dead" shirt.

Revenge of the Nerds is an absolute classic.

There's no way that movie wouldn't be met with incredibly widespread backlash if it came out today on multiple fronts.
