What if I just loudly talk about how I prefer Skype every time I have to use Teams?

We moved from Slack (and Zoom) to Teams over the summer. It was my project, declared by the CIO because monies, and everyone freaking HATES TEAMS. They come to me to bitch about it and I just agree with them until they walk away.

Teams administration takes a three click task and turns it into 10.

This describes every shift my org has made from its older legacy apps to new web-based programs.

Everything is designed to be easier for newer users but wildly less efficient for people who know what they're doing.

Definitely a reasonable option.

But you should say "AIM chats" instead.

My company moved from Teams (and other MS communication and sharing platforms) to G-Suite last year. There was much bitching from most of the staff, but I love it.

Amtrak app wouldn't let me buy a ticket from the current station I need to depart from, so I had to buy one from the next station. Hopefully the fact that it's the same price will grant me some mercy.

EDIT: Dude straight up didn't care.

The dudes on the corner of the bar have said "Crossfit*tm" 20 times in the last two minutes.

I honestly apologize to whoever I interacted with while I was one of these assholes.

My daughter spilled water on our Roku remote and got water inside of it so I took out the batteries and left it inside a bag of dry rice overnight.

Now there is rice inside the remote and I can't figure out how to dismantle it further. Sounds like a maraca.

Add some salt and furikake to the inside of the remote (to taste) and boil the remote. Now you'll have some tasty remote rice. Results may vary

Update: thanks to some help from tweaker YouTube I got it open and about ten grains came out. Works fine now.

FYI, the "rice trick" doesn't really work.

A slightly better option is to keep any of those silica packets that are in everything these days (the things labeled "Do not eat"). The purpose of them is to absorb moisture. If you have a wet phone or whatever, put it in a ziplock back with silica packets and hope for the best.

But your better bet is to not get your electronics wet. (Obviously, not controllable in the above case.)
