The new chip reader machines. When a simple swipe used to do the trick, now we have to insert the card and wait close to a minute for the process to go through.

No I get that. I've lived in HK where it was used and traveled quite a bit, but it's new in the U.S. The problem is that the machines still have the sliding option, so you always end up sliding then have the teller tell you that they don't accost those anymore., etc.
