So I asked my kid what color it is, and he says black and blue.  He is adamant. 

I see white and gold, but if I squint till it blurs, it turns black and blue.  I guess I better go get his eyes checked.

It's just an overexposed photo. The colors in the image are white-ish and gold, but your brain can trick you into 'fixing' the lighting so you see what it was supposed to look like - black and blue.

Don't understand how it got viral, with cell phones cameras there must be millions of pictures with similar 'illusions'.

So much less annoying than people who sit in the left turn only lane only to slowwwwly merge back into the center lane just in time for the arrow signal to turn red.

I don't get upset about shitty drivers because we a all eventually do something stupid on the highway.  Some are worse than others.
