Quote
Former Jets cornerback and scout Aaron Glenn is headed to Cleveland to become the assistant defensive backs coach for the Browns, according to a source. Glenn will reunite with former Jets defensive coordinator Mike Pettine in Cleveland; the two were both with the Jets in 2012.

Glenn was drafted by the Jets with the 12th overall pick in the 1994 draft and played cornerback for Gang Green through the 2001 season. He later played for Houston, Dallas, Jacksonville and New Orleans from 2002-2008. Glenn was a three-time Pro Bowler.

In 2012, Glenn re-joined the Jets as a pro personnel assistant. In 2013, he became a college area scout. Glenn was the area scout for second-round selection TE Jace Amaro.

Sucks to see a former great player leave

But I'm not gonna pretend that he actually did anything being a scout here for a single year

He should get some credit for Amaro and Dixon, depending on how they work out.

He's a former cornerback who was in his first year of scouting. How big of an impact do you really think he had on us drafting Amaro,  a tight end ?

TE was probably the biggest need on this team, and Amaro was excellent value in the second

Dixon could be all him for what I know though. I'm just pretty confident that Amaro was a no brainer though

I'm assuming he made a mistake and meant McDougle.

Glenn scouted Dixon and visited him three times.

I was referring to you stating that Glenn deserves credit for the Amaro draft pick.

Amaro was in his scouting region, even if it was a slam dunk he should get a little love.
