Draft Day
« on: April 03, 2014, 04:29:37 PM »
Anyone going to see this in theaters next week? I'm tempted to check it out based solely on Costner's track record with sports movies, but the trailer didn't really give any impression that it's going to be good. I have a feeling it will either suck, or be another Costner hit.

I figured most would think it's going to suck. I'm skeptical myself.

This movie is going to be terrible, especially for people who actually know something about the draft. There is literally no way that this is going to have an ounce of realism and not only that its about cleveland and organizing a trade down.

My guess at the plot, he organizes a trade down, drafts a player who is supposed to be meh but is of impeccable character, and he goes on to make a huge play in the preseason to make it seem like he is on his way to the HOF.

Probably will rent it when it hits DVD though...

What's a shame is this could be an awesome movie and there's so many football junkies that'd go to see it.

But this freaking version looks awful. The previews for it make look like the cheesiest piece of excrement ever.

I saw Stephen hill in the trailer. No thanks, I've seen that awful movie in real life before.
My dad always says he's undefeated at tailgating

Maybe it's not I who doesn't know what he's talking about

This movie looks like 10 pounds of excrement in a five pound bag. I would rather eat Mongolian bbq with MBGreen.

Kevin Costner is in the movie, that's the first of many issues.

The NFL Draft has turned into a media circus. Now a freaking movie, just crazy. I miss the days of just Saturday and Sunday in MSG's theater and only a handful of draft internet sites. Too bad most people who follow the draft and think they're an expert  hardly watch College Football.
