Update: Chris Johnson visiting the Jets

Cimini does not know if Johnson would accept the committee role he would be given in New York, but he certainly fits the speed back mold the Jets are looking for to complement Chris Ivory. Johnson may be looking for more than a committee role, but that will be all he is likely to find in free agency. The Falcons have also been strongly linked with CJ?K.

I don't get why so many people are saying this.  The Jets have so much money to spend. 

If he's in a RBBC, he doesn't need a huge contract...but the Jets will need to pay him more than what MJD got in Oakland.

I like the fact that he can be a bellcow if Ivory gets hurt.  Powell is a poor man's bellcow.  Johnson is legit.

The guy is a 28 year old elite HB with great hands and plenty of speed. Perfect compliment to Ivory.

he also blames his offensive line and complains about his role, and he's a half assed runner most of the time.

a guy who always blames everyone else for his problems isn't likely gonna work for marty or rex
