Moving up into the sixth gives us more ammo to move around or a better shot at a H/W/S prospect.

I mean 256 and 257 are all but worthless picks in a class panned as weak from a depth perspective as NIL has guys going back to school. So dudes who would have been UDFAs in the class of 2022 will be 5th and 6th rounders this weekend. I’d suspect this class will be historic in the lack of UDFAs that make opening day 53s this year league wide.

So by default moving up gives you a better shot at anybody with a draftable prospect grade. Hell, I wouldn’t be shocked to see us package both 6s for a 5th this year if they have a guy with a mid round grade still on the board.
Need a new one for a new board...

Challenge accepted
Fields vs Wilson - who is better?
Was it LaFleur's fault or Wilson's fault?
Would Wilson have been successful with a good OL?
Should we have just kept Sam Darnold?
Would you bang Zach's mom?

What about the NIL dudes that went back to school last year? They come out this year.  College football players don't just disappear because of NIL. It's kind of like the law of conservation of energy.  The ones that stay in college for another year are replaced in the NFL by the ones that stayed the year before and now go pro.

Eventually this is correct but we are currently in a logjam phase where players who normally might have come out are staying. Within a couple years it will even out as players exhaust their college eligibility.

This, but also, the general lack of juniors declaring means less total NFL caliber players in the process each year. That’s all I’m saying

But not every year, just for now. It will even out into a new normal soon.

If anything the end result will be every draft has more seniors and less juniors. But the overall volume of prospects will level off.

he unfortunately doesn't have the mental processing speed or ability to keep track of multiple things at the same time. reading the D, sensing the pass rush, going through his progressions if needed. he can't do it.

throw a wrinkle into any of those things and everything breaks down.

i honestly thought we would have to cut him. he was near negative value. good on douglas to get back a 6th somehow.

i forget when it was but i remember reading on here earlier in the offseason that we could package him and a 3rd for a 2nd. as a fanbase we have had some wild takes on this kid. one of the biggest busts at QB of all time

I have no strong feelings on this.

You are a Jets fan. I’m a Zach Wilson fan.

:’(

My dad always says he's undefeated at tailgating

Maybe it's not I who doesn't know what he's talking about

Just glad to never feel obligated to argue about Zach Wilson again.

Are you new here?

This pick was used last night in the move back with Minnesota.

Good stuff.
