We need Minnesota to stay put at 11 and McCarthy to drop to us...that should light the fuse for some team to trade up to our spot.  I would expect Denver to try to jump ahead of Minny.

I mean, you could maybe start with one, Joe.
Teams that draft well do so no matter where they pick. Teams that draft poorly do so no matter where they pick I want my team to win games and draft well

Was listening to the MTS podcast and there was an interesting segment where they discussed the bust rate of WR. Essentially what DJ and Brooks did was go through WR drafted over the past couple of years starting with 2022 and the outcome was most WR taken outside the top 10 were basically meh. Of course there were a few exceptions (Jefferson and Nacua) but they are far and few between.

So if we take a WR, it should be at 10...otherwise take a flyer in the later rounds

may not be a wideout worth taking at 10

Which is why we should trade up to 5 and secure the drafts best weapon.

Or...we could've just tanked

Much like with Bryce Huff, since we didn’t do that properly, still have to get it right now. Which means pay the cost and go get the best player in the draft

Of course I am. We don’t have the sack to make that move. We will sit there and take a TE who will probably be a top 10-15 TE in his rookie contract, and waste the window we have in front of us.

I have no idea what the Jets do in the first round.  Could easily be OL, WR, Bowers, trade back for picks, trade up for a WR.

With 4 QBs likely going in the top 10, only 5 slots can steal a player from us.  If a defensive player goes in the top 10, which is likely, that leaves 4.    Unless Alt and all 3 WRs are those exact 4 picks, Alt or Odunze will fall to us without trading up.  I think it is quite possible that those are the exact 4 that get picked, but who knows.

Realistically, who could sneak in the top 9 picks besides the 4 QB, the 3 WR, Alt?  Mitchell, Turner, Arnold, maybe Bowers.

I'm pulling for a defense run in the top 10.

If we stick at 10 I'd be happy/OK with any of the following realistic options:

- Alt, Fuaga, Fautanu, Fashanu
- Nabers or Odunze
- Bowers (he's a good player but I hate him matched with Hackett)
-Spencer Rattler.

I think this is the probably list for most of us.  There are a few other players I'd be happy with if we trade back a few picks, but would be over drafted at 10.

Fashanu has really fallen off from a few months ago as far as his draft position.  There was talk of him being the best tackle in the draft and now he's a mid 1st rounder.  I don't know that he's done anything to deserve this beyond other tackles getting noticed more.  Also lack of position flexibility.

At the end of the day a true LT with his pass pro skills is going to be coveted. We will see over the next week how mush he actually has fallen, or if it’s just people in the media being bored with him being a top guy for so long and needing new names to talk about

Odunze at 10 or trade back 5-7 spots, get a 2nd rounder and land Fautanu or Fuaga?  I know I'd trade back if the WRs are gone, but I'd have a hard time passing up Odunze.
