I just want to say i'd be done with this team if we selected a TE at #8.  I wouldn't do this if our OL and WR positions were already rock solid. 

These draft analysts desperately want Brock Bowers to be the best tight end prospect of all-time.

TE is quite literally the last position group the Jets need to address at the draft in the 1st round.  Most draft analysts are bigger morons than us.

Bowers is being compared to Kelce by some of these draftniks...but Kelce was picked in the 3rd round.  Vernon Davis was taken 6th overall, and i still hated him being taken that high.

Mayer by far. Mayer would have had me instantly turn on Douglas.

I could see a scenario where I defend a Bowers pick. I much prefer just taking an OL or a WR, since Bowers is kind of a half-measure in both cases, but if he's as good a prospect as some think he is, he could be worth the pick.

Bowers would need to test really well, the board would need to fall a certain way, and the Jets would have needed to address WR and OL earlier in the offseason.
