I hope we don't overpay Jenkins to stay.

Agreed, Harvey Langi will be a FA in a few years and we don’t want to be priced out of that market because we blew all our money on a productive player that has a track record of success here
My dad always says he's undefeated at tailgating

Maybe it's not I who doesn't know what he's talking about

The question is what is appropriate pay for Jenkins? I’ll be very curious to see what he gets. He’s a solid player and put him across from a top rusher and his value would be ten fold better I would assume. But given his production is he a a $10 million per year guy? I have no idea but it will be fascinating to see what he gets.
Need a new one for a new board...

I realize he's had improving sack numbers and played pretty well.  I think his pass rushing ability is overrated.  Complete gut feeling.  I feel like he'd be a guy to get a pretty good contract and put up 5 sacks next year.  I could well be wrong.  I'd be happy to have him back, but not on expensive terms.

Jordan Jenkins is a smart player that is very good against the run.  He's not a very good pass rusher, but he's a solid starter on the edge.  Similar to Calvin Pace.

If we get a pass rushing threat like Matt Judon or Yannick Ngakoue then Jenkins becomes expendable because we could fill that role with an inexpensive veteran or a rotation of JAGs.

If our depth wasnt such excrement I'd disagree, but we need a solid starter across from him, especially since we probably wont draft an edge rusher early in this draft

I'm not sure why anyone would be opposed to Brady joining the Jets. I despise the guy but...
  • It would be the most epic troll of Boston ever (Imagine the jersey burnings on this one)
  • Imagine how it would make Belichick feel
  • He could probably teach Sam a thing or two

I wouldn't particularly want him, but I wouldn't be opposed to him coming here either. I'd hope they telecast the coin toss when the Jets visited Foxboro and Brady came out as the Jets captain that day.
Teams that draft well do so no matter where they pick. Teams that draft poorly do so no matter where they pick I want my team to win games and draft well

If we are going that far, we should hire Rex back for the one game against the Pats with Bardy.

Because I freaking hate Brady. I would not be able to cheer for that queynte in a Jets jersey. He would do nothing for us and it would be excrement.

Also, he hates us as much as we hate him so it's not going to happen.

Would be fun. I hate him and all but I doubt he wants to be a backup.

we should hire Rex back

Best post ever.
