I agree, but we haven't had a decent kicker in forever.  I don't ask for much, just a kicker who can reliably hit from 40 yards.  I don't care if he can kick it to the moon.

I never asked for much from punt returners, just don't muff the freaking kick.  That prayer has been answered.

In 2017, Zuerlein's FG% was 95% (38 of 40), and led the league in scoring.  I'm hoping this is the guy we signed, and not the bum he was in Dallas.

He had back surgery last offseason which may have had an adverse effect on his performance last year.

Hopefully he's 100% now.

It's not his most consequential mistake, but Douglas' most obvious mistake as GM has been neglecting kicking competition in training camp.  Really glad to see two kickers on the roster heading into the summer.

My money's on Pineiro.

Looks like he and Eddy would make about the same thing this year, so money doesn't factor in.
