There's a middle ground to be found between forcing a receiver at 10 and waiting until the end of the 2nd round to take one. We literally took a stud receiver at the top of the 2nd a year ago.

I don’t think picking a WR at means they’re forcing it

have you seen the clips of him being an poopchute on the field?  he's someone we need on this team

Tennessee's QB got pushed out of bounds and Pickens stood up from the bench and sprayed him in the face with a water bottle

It seems like a lot of Jets fans have PTSD from the "Mims situation" and it's causing them to want to force a receiver at 10, all the while forgetting that we nailed a 2nd round pick on a receiver exactly one year ago.

It's not a forced pick if it's Wilson or Williams.

It is if Douglas has other players rated higher

This. If the BPA at 10 is a WR, fine, but I don't think it will be.

If Sauce is there at 10, are you taking a receiver over him?

There's a middle ground to be found between forcing a receiver at 10 and waiting until the end of the 2nd round to take one. We literally took a stud receiver at the top of the 2nd a year ago.

The middle ground of course is trading back, remaining in the first and then taking who they want with their other first rounder.

I definitely think as things are presently constituted (i.e. no one moves for a wide receiver via trade) that there's going be a run at receiver in the 20-32 range. Too many teams in that area still need help at the position.

If Sauce is there at 10, are you taking a receiver over him?

I wouldn't, but I also love Sauce. People are comparing him to Cromartie because he's a freak athlete, but he's way better instinctually coming out of college IMHO. In fairness, Cro was coming off of a torn ACL and didn't play his junior year.

If Sauce is there at 10 then Wilson probably isn't.

Every Jets draft opinion is based in part on PTSD. Walker is scary since we have drafted plenty of run stopping DL early and none were stars here. Hamilton is scary because of what happened with Adams. Mims makes us scared of not getting the exact WR they want.

In reality, no previous draft means a damn thing.

This is largely from a fantasy perspective, but there's some good stuff in here on the top receivers. All the fantasy nerds love Burks.
