Agreed. Absolutely useless as a side. Their best use is a topping on sandwiches.

Smashburger's rosemary shoestring fries are good.

Crinkle cut is easily the worst, but I'll take them over no fries at all. French fries are my favorite thing to eat.

Xochi in DC uses normal fries for their asada fries. They’re really freaking good.

My wife and my favorite coffee house (The Witches Brew in West Hempstead) makes incredible fries. They're like 5 Guys fries but extra.

Mad for Chicken has good kimchi fries.

Bojangles' fries are good if they don't over spice them.  I love good steak fries.  Chickfila waffle fries are good too.

I had my first and only ever Chik-Fil-A a couple of months ago. Fries were ok but nothing special. Sandwich was good, sauces were sugary muck.
