Cool with it. I'd rather have Nick Mullens because he can actually play, but Hoyer would be fine.
My guess is that Smith didn't put himself through all that rehab to walk around the sideline, he's going to want to play. Hoyer is probably past that stage now.
Hopefully Hoyer is cheap because he offers very little on the field. Then again, we are rebuilding so we aren't exactly making a deep playoff run or anything this year.
Well, we know Hoyer won't be expensive. What he does bring is a veteran presence in the QB room, and he knows the offense (he'll mentor the kid). This should be Mark Brunell all over again.
