We need to make a significant investment in the OL. I am hopeful/confident it's in the draft. Feeney is not it.
To me, the key is upgrading both guard spots. McGovern and Fant aren't great, but they were decent enough, we're paying them already, and Shanahan's scheme should be better for their skillsets. If one guard spot is handled by a 1st/2nd round pick, and the other is a 3-4 way competition between veterans who have started in the league and Cameron Clark, that can work.
We have 5 picks in the first 3 rounds, and probably a 6th once we trade Darnold. I want 2 offensive linemen in those spots, and I want one at either 23 or 34. At the bare minimum, 23 or 34 needs to be one.
