Good news. As much fun as it's been for the Dodgers to play 700 ball on cruise control, it will be fun to get back to major league baseball again.
So it turns out, Italian Seafood was right an everyone can go freak themselves.

i think the biggest thing going for the DH is that it allows you to continue to play that offensive-minded player who kind of sucks at defense while still trying to optimize your defensive potential.

kind of unfair for the super stacked teams who can field well-rounded players at all positions and still benefit from the extra dh player, but still. the dh would have been the perfect way for the mets to utilize somebody like cespedes. piece of excrement

I’m slowly running out of reasons to remain a Mets fan.

You are correct, but it should also benefit bad teams that need to get a middle of the order type bat in their lineup. DH guys are easy to come by.

if the DH had been present in the NL a few years earlier, we would have kept daniel murphy and he would have had that awesome 2016 season with us, and maybe we would have had a deeper run into the playoffs that year. 2015-2016 was the time for that team to win a title

I would rather watch Posey get ABs than rot on the bench to end his career while my team sucks.

They’re not gonna play him over Bart, right?

Is Brandon Belt done anytime soon?

Just when I had hope 2021 would be better than 2020.

Thoughts and prayers to my NL-watching friends out there.
Teams that draft well do so no matter where they pick. Teams that draft poorly do so no matter where they pick I want my team to win games and draft well

More guys get into the game without the DH because you need your bench a lot more often.

That’s.. not factually true. The pitcher is taking AB’s away from “bench” guys every game.

The way pitching staffs are managed now a pitcher takes 2 ABs per game, max. Past the 5th inning they hit for the pitcher in the NL too, they just don't give you a spot for it. That means you don't "rot on the bench" in the NL, more different bench guys get into most games. Your entire roster matters much more. If you use an opener like a lot of teams do now, the pitcher might not bat at all.
