It actually used to be guys on the team, not a specialty. Pretty sure the Colts K in Super Bowl III was Lou Michaels, a big dumb lineman who kicked straight on and missed one or two.

Different than obsessing on a 5% out differential in 5% of the ABs in a baseball game, but this will serve as your history minute for the day.

At least someone gave it a try. The whole game gets more interesting from the 5th inning on because the benches and bullpens all come into play, managing the 9 spot around the game situation and available players.

I know, who wants to deal with strategy and thinking when you can just have a glorified home run derby for three hours?

As of now, the DH will be AL-only next season, I'm hearing. The union and MLB would have to expand it to both leagues through bargaining.
