Not a done deal yet, but the two sides are close.

Jim Mora Jr. was offered the position and turned it down to stay at UCLA.
He shook my hand breed tub and walked away

Was he fired or something? How often do college HCs jump ship and go to another team?
"Wrong!"

Contracts are fundamentally toilet paper at the college level.

yup.

and not shocked to see him leave Louisville, he knows he can't maintain success there with Bridgewater leaving.
Need a new one for a new board...

Speaking of Bridgwater leaveing, and now Strong, could Parker change his mind for the NFL?  Don't care, but curious on if they can flip flop?

Of course he can. I believe he has until January 15th to decide.

He could, but he already said it'll have no impact on his decision.

Am I the only person shocked by this?

I get turning down Washington, but saying no thanks to Texas to stay at UCLA? I know the Seahawks cut him a nice check when they canned him, but there's no way Texas wouldn't have at least doubled his salary, not to mention that...it's Texas. Hard to find a job that comes with the prestige of coaching that program.

Maybe he likes living on the west coast and didn't want to uproot his family. No state income tax in Texas, and it's arguably one of the best jobs in college football in terms of resources, place to live(Austin) and history.

UCLA isn't a bad program to be in charge of.

A lot less pressure too. He just has to keep them PAC 12 competitive and he's good for a while there.
