Anderson had a lot of fun, splash plays but he also disappeared a lot.

Corners would body him all over the field and he couldn't show up.  Elite straight line speed and defenses had to honor that, but he wasn't a huge loss.

Anderson in a lesser role could be super valuable. But asking him to be, and paying him to be “the guy” was never going to work out well.

What the freak did we do

Robby is the definition of a guy who got to go to college for athletic talents that he likely wasn’t otherwise qualified for.

But he has definitely made the most of his opportunities and while I likely am more capable of an intellectual conversation (based on his numerous twitter posts and post game statements) he will make far more money this year than I will in my career. So what the hell Robbie you do you and enjoy life

Forgoing Robby’s:

-Continuity with Sam
-Personality
-Injury history

Wasn’t worth saving a few mill by going with Perriman. There’s also no continuity plan for next season, he’s a free agent.

At least if our team sucks Robby provides good content and will possibly fight a cop.

What I don't understand is why we couldn't bring back Robby AND sign Perriman (or someone of that ilk).

Agree. This should have been the plan.

We’ve already been over how we should have drafted more than 1 WR.

I love how attached fans get to owners' money some times.

Completely erasing WR continuity for a third year QB. We've seen that play before, we know how it ends.

It ends with pretending to be confused as to why the QB didn’t develop properly.

At least we're building an offensive line so it's kind of a step up.

I believe this is the point at which people remind me what a great job Joe Douglas is doing because he use to fetch coffee for Ozzie Newsome.

He’s improved the OLine (you were right!)

He could be giving his coach what he wants so there is now way Gase can claim he wasn’t supported this season.

My more tin foil hat theory is that he’s just working on the roster for the next HC and QB and isn’t too invested in the guy Maccagnan drafted.

He could have given MBGreen a vet minimum contract and likely improved the OL. I would back 70% of the posters on this board to put together a better OL than we had last season.

The idea that he would deliberately downgrade at receiver because it's what his HC asked for and he was willing to allow him to be hoisted by his own petard is reason enough to fire a GM, IMO. (I don't for a moment believe that this is true or that we should fire Douglas.)

I can buy the idea that he's working on the roster for the next HC, but shouldn't the franchise QB's favourite receiver be part of that? Why would the next HC want a QB who has been damaged by being undermined?
