I thought yesterday showed a few good things from Robby, he wasn't just running go routes. He did some work underneath and in the slot and Darnold connected with him a few times. He also showed the Robby we all hate at one point, he made a catch on the sideline and as he went out of bounds he and the DB sent an old chap flying. Anderson didn't make any effort to make sure the guy was OK, just completely ignored him so he could do his first down celebration.

he actually hit a guy last week but i think most of the conventional replays didn't pick it up and i saw it on a different angle somewhere (highlight vids? i forget), he actually made sure the old guy was okay

If we're going to beat up Macc over missing on Devin Smith we have to credit him for finding Anderson. All comes out the same in the wash.
So it turns out, Italian Seafood was right an everyone can go freak themselves.

Darnold2Anderson is finally a thing.

Teams really respect his deep speed, so it's awesome to see him doing damage on comebacks and post-curls.

Anderson, Herndon, and Enunwa can really play.  Eli McGuire is a nice weapon too.  If we can go out and get another real threat on the outside, we're in business.

Le'Veon Bell would open up a lot for Anderson and Herndon too.

I've said this before, but I would strongly consider giving Anderson a deal this offseason. We have all the leverage now, and Anderson clearly is talented. This could be a good chance to get him on a deal where we can give him a short-term raise, where we can get him on a slight discount in future years. We could also probably get a team-friendly deal where we can get out of it if he screws up.

That's the only way I'd offer him a multi-year deal.

Anderson and Herndon have great chemistry with Sam.  It's unfortunate that Enunwa can't stay healthy to get in on this uptick in production.

It's a pipe dream, but if we somehow go out and get Jimmy Harbaugh's crazy derriere, he'd love Chris Herndon.

Quietly destroying the league.

He's a very good opportunist.

Macc has brought in a handful of good young players, got our QB and set up a ton of cap space. If we didn’t get outcoached every game and commit 15+ penalties we might win more. People can stop crying about draft misses any time now, every team has them.

We have lost 5 4th quarter advantages this season. If we’d win them all, we’d be 9-6.

I agree with this post 100%. I think another threat at WR1 would make this offense deadly. Robby as a 1A would be ridiculous.

I've talked about going after a pass rusher in free agency, but Bell is probably my top priority now. Obviously, Enunwa's got to stay healthy, but the offense you listed could be fantastic with Darnold.
Teams that draft well do so no matter where they pick. Teams that draft poorly do so no matter where they pick I want my team to win games and draft well
