It could be typical coach speak, but the way Shaw talks about Stamford I just can't see him leaving. That program is well set up for long term success.

There isn't one alternative that jumps off the page. Not one.  When you take that into consideration I'd rather Idzik try to get Rex and Whegs a QB (Manziel? McCarron?) and we dance with the devil we know as opposed to the one we don't.  Anyone with half a brain saw this coming with Geno.

If he stays, any instance of Rex slamming the table for a defensive talent in the first three rounds of the draft should be met with a quick and decisive no.

BTW I am so glad to be back on a message board that's only partially filled with mongoloids and not overrun with them.

Good to have you. I'd like to tell you that Puck will be gone soon, but I think we're stuck with him. Sorry.

With his 40th regular season win Rex just passed Herm and Walt Michaels for 3rd all time in Jets HC wins.

We beat a weak team today, and the defense tried to give them the game back.  I wasn't able to watch the whole game, so maybe the first half was much different.  I want Rex to stay, but I don't think he is doing himself any favors.

You can make a pretty legitimate argument he is the 2nd best coach this franchise has ever had.

Not deciding this with a win over the Raises. Beat someone who is playing well.

I've been saying that since the 2011 season. Not that it grants him eternal job security or anything.

No it doesn't. Just makes me very glad I'm only 24 instead of 44. Because Jesus Christ our history blows

Before the game, Woody said he was "pretty happy" with the direction the team is going…

I think with a 7-9 record Rex is on the unemployment line. I don't see a compelling reason for Idzik to keep him.

Agreed.

I've said from the beginning of the season that he probably has to get to .500 or better to keep his job.  Tough task ahead.
