That was kind of awesome.

Yeah. It's not network TV so no rules were broken, and the GMFB crew are all great so no cancelation required.

Field Yates
@FieldYates
Most consecutive seasons as their current team's starter:

Aaron Rodgers: 14
Derek Carr: 8
Dak Prescott: 6

No one else is at more than 4. There's been a ton of QB turnover of late.

ESPN's Kevin Seifert reports there is "wide agreement among NFL decision-makers that their 2021 standard for taunting penalties should largely remain in place moving forward."

NFL executive vice president of football operations Troy Vincent confirmed this week that the league would continue its crackdown on taunting -- a universally reviled policy among fans that is generally supported by coaches and NFL decision makers. Refs called 61 taunting penalties during the 2021 regular season, the most in at least the past 20 years. The league seems most concerned with players standing over opponents after a play and approaching the opposing sideline in a threatening manner. NFL games will continue to be affected by post-play taunting in 2022 and beyond.

There was a "standard?"

NFL stepping it up to get as woke as the NBA

I bet by 2030 nfl teams will be required to have at least one female QB on the roster

Or, and hear me out here, it's the NFL paying for the team to have an extra coach on offense, like an intern. Which seems like a bit of a no lose proposition, and potentially a big win.

That's why I like it.  It's not taking a job from anyone and they realized the best opportunities for job growth is through offense so they are implementing people on that side of the ball.

It's a foot in the door to make connections

It's not about who is paying for it

Its like some kind of quota/affirmative action on crack.

I get it, nfl coaches are disproportionately white men and isn't reflective of the racial breakdown of the league.

But the nfl also doesn't reflect the racial makeup of this country either.

Let's exclude heterosexual white men because obviously everyone knows they're all Nazis.

When's the last time you saw the nfl doing anything to make rosters more inclusive of homosexuals, Hispanics, Asians or transgenders?

Hell how does the argument make sense that nfl staffs need to be more reflective of the general player base, while also including women in these quotas? What about including the obese or disabled in these coaching pools?

I just don't find it reasonable to take this race based excrement to an extreme level, and to me thats what this is.

You know what I'd be cool with that would likely achieve the racial diversity nonsense that the nfl is trying to accomplish here.

Make this mandatory strawman coaching assistant position thing instead of race based make it former player based.

That way it will almost certainly improve racial diversity among coaches, while not being being based on the color of your skin.
