Antonio Cromartie: Sprained Knee
« on: September 13, 2015, 08:13:31 PM »
Figure this deserves its own thread. Our medical expert, DCM, thinks he's done for the season.

MRI tomorrow. Hoping for the best.

I don't think he'll make it, but if he comes back this season, there's a chance that he never plays for the Jets again.

Oh he'll be back, just in time to never play again.

I have no medical training but I did watch the whole of House, and it seems clear to me that he will never walk again. Also, he probably has lupus.

Well, that's official enough for me.

It's never lupus.

He looks done, I will be surprised if he isn't done for the year.  Fortunately we do have some CB depth.

I'm no orthopedic surgeon but

Pro Football Talk reported the Jets fear CB Antonio Cromartie damaged multiple knee ligaments Sunday.

Cromartie will have an MRI to confirm on Monday, but the way he hurt his knee and the feeling around the team suggests this could be a season-ending injury. Fellow free-agent addition Buster Skrine replaced Cromartie following the injury and would be asked to play a bigger role if Cromartie is done for the season.

As a lawyer myself, I think Cro hurt his knee.

I think in this case it's reality. That injury looked horrible and given that it's non contact, it makes it that much worse. If he went down from a helmet to the knee I would feel a whole lot different. Anyway, the answer to your question about DCM is a big yes.
