I read an article on Hitfix that said this is Christian Bale's best performance...

i didnt watch any of the online trailers or the one you posted. i just saw a commercial featuring Bale and Harrelson and some guy who looked nothing like Affleck was only on screen for like 2 second and it looked like him.

either way the cast is insane didnt know Sam Sheppard would be in it too.

Considering it takes place in the 'rust belt' I don't think it would be bad to have a cameo from him.  It's been almost 20 years since we had to hate him anyway, and he does alot of good work in and around Buffalo.
