I know it was already posted in the TC thread, but it's more serious than previously reported...

Smith's still in the hospital with what's rumored to be a punctured lung.  Just an unfortunate, unlucky thing that happened.

At least it's not season ending and he should very well be back for the opener.  Missed time will hurt him as a rookie.

It sucks but at least it happened now and at a position with some depth. He will still be able to study the offense/playbook while in recovery

4 to 6 weeks starting from an arbitrary date, in this instance use August 21.

4-6 weeks from the time you read it. I've bookmarked this page, will read this week 1.

Jets WR Devin Smith says he fractured three ribs in that collision in Friday's practice. Timetable still 4-6 weeks.

Devin Smith is back today.  Practicing in pads.  Not sure if he'll play Sunday, but glad he's practicing again.

I think Devin Smith will not produce a lot this year.  Just a gut feeling.  Fitz isn't really the type of QB to air it out deep and Devin Smith will need time to develop his other routes.
