Geno has been bad but the D has been mediocre/bad in recent years too so they have no one to blame.  This year the D should be a top 5 D though.

Blake Bortles and Derek Carr were freaking rookies and Geno Smith was a second year player last December.  That statement is so ridiculous.

If Smith threw 21 TDs and 12 INTs last season (like Carr), Ryan would probably still be the coach of the New York Jets.  Thank goodness he didn't.

Even if Fitz starts and gives me cause to complain about his play, I can absolutely guarantee you that at no point will I express a desire for Geno to play instead.

My stance has always been that I'd give Geno one last shot in this revamped offense. If he sucks again you plug in Fitz and begin the search for a franchise QB, again.

You don't, but I hate Geno Smith enough to continue this pipe dream.

There's absolutely no way the Jets should pass on Goff, Jones, or even Kessler in next year's draft because Petty is on the roster.  We'll have to be pretty bad to get Goff though.

He didn't say he didn't want a retard, he said he doesn't want to give up the entire draft for one. I don't know enough about Jones' mental acuity to have a view (and I wasn't serious anyway), but I have sympathy with his view as I wouldn't have used the #6 pick on Winston, much less the entire draft.
