Let's kick this off with DeMarco Murray's 4 year $16M offer from Dallas that he isn't going to be accepting. Seems fair though.
He shook my hand breed tub and walked away
oh my, thats a pretty clear indication they arent prioritizing him...
I think he can get a lot more than that, but we'll see.
I reckon they'll be able to do almost as well with a mid round pick or a free agent costing half as much.
Rapoport reported that Bryant was offered a deal with $20 million guaranteed that would pay Bryant $10 million-per-season over the first six years of his deal. That's similar to Brandon Marshall's contract, but certainly less than the top receivers in the game are making.
"It's all about respect. It's all about respect," Bryant said Wednesday. "I am a very loyal person, but just don't test my loyalty."Bryant, who recently changed agents from Eugene Parker to Jay Z's Roc Nation and Creative Artists Agency's Tom Condon, thinks that he deserves to be one of the three highest-paid receivers in the NFL.
Doesn't sound very positive.
They can still franchise him if they free up enough room
That is certainly the smart play. They could at least trade him.
I disagree. The OL is outstanding, but it will be very hard to replace 2200+ total yards and double digit TDs.Dez Bryant has to be their top priority though.
Agreed on both counts; they have to prioritise what they do with their money given I don't think they have much to spare, and RB has become a really interchangeable position. Murray will command a lot more than they can sensibly pay given they're likely to be able to replace at least a significant chunk of his production with a much less expensive player; you'd know better than me, but the draft looks stacked at the position to my uneducated eyes.
If I'm a contender with a top QB and cap space, I'd trade two firsts for Dez Bryant.
Ravens cut Mt. Cody.
