His net worth of $300M makes your use of the word "futility" questionable. I agree that most of his movies are pretty awful (although he has done some good stuff - Big Daddy and Happy Gilmore were good, I didn't hate Click and Punch Drunk Love is supposed to be excellent) but people go and see his movies over and over again. He's a $20M per movie banker.

Dude is rich.  I'd rather see him in someone else's movies or as a cameo, not ones he is directing/writing/whatever.  His movies are shitty now, but he's laughing all the way to the bank.

His films are terrible, I listed 30 films they're all the equivalent of Robitussin. To date I have not watched one Adam Sandler movie that is truly good. There are some that are so bad they're good but that's a whole other criteria. So I will use the word futility because his movies are garbage.

Grandma's Boy was a very funny surprise. It's re-watch ability is huge.
