Danny McBride was also one of the writers. I refuse to watch the Righteous Gemstones because he refuses to stop doing excrement like this to me.

The movie was okay. Some of the scenes were really entertaining and the girl looks a lot like young Reagan. I watch a LOT of horror movies, so perhaps my scale is broken by the mass of trash but this movie was above trash.

I thought the first one worked.  The second was trash so I didn't bother with the third.

McBride's now been a part of shitty Halloween movies, a shitty Exorcist movie, and a shitty Alien movie.  I respect him trying to branch out into a genre he loves, but he's done it now and should really go back to doing what he's good at.  Not everyone is Jordan Peele.
