Watch it if you want the nostalgia fix, or don't if you're the kind of person who lets new things ruin old memories. There are a few laughs but mostly rehashed jokes and "haha the modern age is confusing!" humor.

Hoo boy, this guy thinks he's dudebro Terrance Mallick.  I'm thirty minutes in and somehow I've heard an hour and a half of that dramatic middle eastern signing that was already a cliche by 1998.  I mean it's EVERY SCENE.

I haven't seen Thunder Force, but the first I heard of it was discovering the theme song yesterday which is done by Corey Taylor, Lzzy Hale, Scott Ian and Dave Lombardo. That's into full on dream supergroup territory for me, so it was crushing to hear what a disappointing song it is and therefore as a point of principle I won't be watching the movie.

Everyone I know who has says it's garbage.

It's The Newsroom, best known for the scene in the opening episode in which Jeff Daniels goes on a rant to a bunch of college kids why American is not, in fact, the best country in the world.

It's written by Aaron Sorkin. As is well known, I love Aaron Sorkin. Even I couldn't watch this show past the first season.
