seriously, who could hate Naked Gun?

It's almost like people might have different tastes. What a strange world that would be, eh?

In fairness, it can't be less funny than the originals.
Well, when I see 5 weirdos dressed in togas stabbing a guy in the middle of the park in full view of 100 people, I shoot the bastards. That's my policy.

Sexual assault with a concrete dildo? Frank, what the hell were you doing there in the first place?

The Place Beyond The Pines. Utter freaking tedium, and I have no idea why anyone thought this might change my mind about Gosling. He is apparently incapable of anything vaguely resembling acting.

Not even close to being a crappy movie.

The cop's son was terrible though.

It didn't have the sharp dialogue and witty writing of Grosse Pointe Blank though.

It's a who's who of undertalented and overrated actors - Gosling, Rose Byrne, Ray Liotta. It's too long and it doesn't have the writing to fulfil its ambition. The director desperately wishes he was Scorcese, but Scorcese has the skill to develop stories rather than just mangling them together. Any time your narrative hangs on massive coincidences and unlikely actions, you're doing it wrong.

Be honest, you didn't want to like it.

I really did. I don't actually waste my time turning movies on with the intention of not liking them, I have much more entertaining ways of spending my time.

I thought it was borderline brilliant.  It was a film that was horribly marketed.

It got weaker with each act, but I still really enjoyed it and I will probably end up buying it on Blu-ray eventually.

The cinematography, the score (Bon Iver, babbie), and every actor except for the kid that played Cooper's son were great IMO.

Bradley Cooper was quite good. I can't get past the massive coincidence in the middle of the movie though.

I'm probably not going to ever bother with a Gosling movie again.

Lee Daniel's The Butler is Forrest Gump for black people.

I'll bet a nickel Oprah Winfrey wins an Oscar despite being absolutely terrible in the film.

That award is June Squibb's to lose.
