Boogie Nights is one of the best ever.  There Will Be Blood is too. 

I will readily admit that I did not enjoy There Will Be Blood as much as many people. For some reason I just didn't get into that movie all that much. DDL was fantastic in it though.

I saw it in theaters and loved it.  I can understand why a lot of people don't though.  People that don't like NCFOM can freak off though.

NCFOM was my most enjoyable movie experience of at least the last 15 years.

I have to admit, I loved TWBB, we saw it in the movie theaters, and the performances by DDL and Paul Dano were borderline perfect (I've read where people complain about Dano's performance but that's the way the character is supposed to be) but I haven't seen it since. I've watched certain parts (when Dano "baptizes" DDL and, of course, the last scene) when it's been on Sundance but it's one of those movies where, and this is my own opinion of course, the rewatchable factor is kinda low.

I could watch NCFOM anytime. That's a freaking great movie and Sighur (sp) is one of the best/scariest characters this century.

His character was supposed to be a whiny bitch so I think he did a fine job. I didn't like the character at all and the ending hardly saddened me.

I don't know how he did it but he had those crazy eyes, Bardem was perfect. He had to have studied the Iceman tapes, I would bet on it.

He was acting though.  All of those people in his church bought what he was selling.  He was supposed to be ridiculous.  Plainview was the only one that could see it.

Yeah, I understand the scene and the character.  I just think Eli could have been a legendary role in the hands of the right actor, and Dano wasn't up to the task.  I don't think he was bad per se, but it was the weak point of an otherwise masterpiece film.
