I thought Hollywood was done with these black and white pair comedies.

Stupid Hollywood insisting on race mixing.

Ha but you know what I mean. The overly stereotypical black guy and the overly stereotypical white guy teaming up with hilarious consequences.

That's actually a good point.  I do get tired of them exploiting that whole "black guy who hires himself out as a friend" stereotype.

The movie is guaranteed excrement for a lot of reasons.  Casting a black actor isn't one of them.

I'm actually not surprised you think any black actor playing an average role is just there to fill the "overly stereotypical black male".

Just out of curiosity is there anyone on here who thinks" black" comedy movies are funny?

I'm talking like Cedric the entertainer, the guy in this movie (Kevin Hart?), Tyler Perry etc etc.

It amazes me that people actually watch this excrement, it's just freaking horrible

And this is coming from a guy who watched a ton of "black" gangsta movies as a kid

Are you serious? The actors are complete opposites. One is playing a nerdy white dude and the other is a stereotypical black dude. Kevin plays an over the top dude in al his movies.

I liked 48 Hrs and Trading Places, and I even remember laughing at Best Defense although I may well have been stoned back then.

Is Trading Places truly a "black" comedy?

I'm afraid we're getting sucked into a dcm black hole.

...could you define what a 'stereotypical black dude' is?  I obviously haven't seen this movie, but it sure doesn't strike me as the black stereotype from the previews.

Probably not. How about Coming To America? That was good.

It's definitely blacker. And good.

When I was in Chicago the other week I found out they all think Queens is exactly like it was in that movie.
