Oh god no. Blackhawk Down was a great movie. Berg just focused on the wrong aspects of the story. He made it too much about LOOK HOW THEY SUFFERED, like it was Passion of the Christ.
SPOILER: For example, the whole part about him being taken care of by random villagers. Takes about 15 minutes. All you see is a bunch of guys who seem willing to get slaughtered to protect this random American. Zero explanation until AFTER the end montage, then you get some little blurb saying "Hey guys, we forgot to mention, but here's why that happened!"
Oh good lord, I will not see it then, thank you. At least Bruckheimer, like him or not and Ridley Scott made it their mission to be true to the story and honor the soldiers. I have tons of respect for that. Like I said it's a shame because this movie could have been and should have been a 2013 version of BHD. I guess I will see the Hobbit or something.
Yeah the villager thing was an important part of the book, why show that when you can blow things up, I suppose. Unreal, the guy that saved Lutrell was as big a hero as anyone. lol
