I don't know that I'd call it crap, but it's just so profoundly mediocre and underwhelming that I'm putting it here anyway.

Nightmare Alley.  It's like a halfway decent Tales from the Crypt episode that got stretched to a feature length film.

I tried to watch it and Alamo Drafthouse decided to play West Side Story instead so I had a terrible experience.

He's fine.  I'm not a big Bradley Cooper fan, but his performance is OK.  It's just such a bland, predictable story that there's really nothing impressive for him to do.

I never saw the original or read the book, but I can't imagine anyone watching the movie wouldn't know everything that happens after the first 15 minutes.
