Saw this tonight because freak football right now.  It was amazing - way funnier than I thought it would be, but it's also ridiculously intense.   

Jake Gyllenhaal shows flashes of classic movie sociopaths (Travis Bickle mostly), but it is also a very unique character.  One of the most memorable performances I can remember.

Saw this over the weekend, I enjoyed it. Great acting by gyllenhaal, interesting character, and compelling story.

Just watched it last night and I totally agree: Gyllenhaal was outstanding.  I can't really even put my finger on why he was so disturbing, but he just looks like a completely different person, like he dropped a bunch of weight for the role or something. 

Just one of the creepiest performances I've ever seen.
