Yeah your right

Poor her, sticking with her douchebag husband who publicly got caught cheating on her MULTIPLE times, including again years after initially getting got.

You should start a fund in her honor. Or maybe just send her some dick pics

Yes. Poor her. Whether she chooses to stay with her husband or not is her business. It has no relevance to his inability to use good judgement. It has no bearing on his ability to serve in a public capacity. It also is not a reason for her to be in the news.

His actions are fairly attributed only to him. She has refused any opportunity for public comment, both in this situation, and any other point in her husband's political career. Therefore, she should be left out of the news, which is Weiner's point.

I read an interview he did. Apparently the wheel is preventing him from living a normal life.

http://www.nytimes.com/2013/10/18/nyregion/at-al-smith-dinner-colbert-doesnt-spare-politicians.html

Quote
The $1,500-a-plate dinner, a regular stop for presidential candidates and world leaders, is both an elegant affair and a Friars Club-style roast. Guests in tail coats munch on caviar and petits fours as speakers crack one-liners about the politicians onstage. Mr. Colbert did not hold back.

On Mayor Michael R. Bloomberg: “Tiny, tiny man. The real reason he doesn’t want drink cups larger than 16 ounces is because he’s afraid he might drown in one.”

On Gov. Andrew M. Cuomo: “I didn’t know you could tear yourself away from the excitement that is Albany on a Thursday evening.”

On Christine C. Quinn, the City Council speaker who lost the Democratic primary for mayor: “New York City is the only place in the world where the lesbian candidate is too conservative.”

On Raymond W. Kelly, the police commissioner: “Are you here alone, or did you bring the whole biker gang?” (At this mention of the recent beating of an S.U.V. driver by motorcyclists, the crowd audibly cringed. “I’m in trouble,” Mr. Colbert joked.)

Quote
“I have great respect for Cardinal Dolan, though I do have to say, sir, it is not easy when you are wearing that outfit,” Mr. Colbert said, as the portly cardinal, in his traditional vestments, gave a broad grin.

“In that cape and red sash, you look like a matador who’s really let himself go.”

“Did you not see the invite?” Mr. Colbert added, as laughter echoed around the Art Deco ballroom of the Waldorf-Astoria Hotel. “It said white-tie, not ‘Flamboyant Zorro.’ ”

Unrelated, who else is voting today? Mayor, Queens borough president and my city council seat are probably already decided, but at least I have the various props to look forward to.

Interestingly enough, my wife and I both decided that even though our votes won't matter, we're voting across party lines in the mayoral election today.

As for the props, the only one I was even remotely familiar with until today was the first one. I guess I'll vote yes for casinos. I don't really care if someone wants to squander their savings chasing awful odds. I just don't know anything about the rest.

I'm also voting Yes on Prop 1.

I'm voting No on Prop 5 (Would grant a mining company access to protected wilderness in the Adirondacks).

IIRC, the proposed deal is they'll replace the land they take with a parcel of equal or greater value, then give the mined land back to the state once they're done with it. I don't trust them, so no.

I'm voting No on Prop 6 (Would raise judge retirement age to 80)

I'd like more turnover, so no.

Going No on Prop 4,  probably Yes on Prop 2, and I don't understand/care about Prop 3.

Just realized that I can no longer vote since I'm officially a New Jersey resident. Oh well.

Ah, right. I saw a brief rundown on the news this morning and I thought yes to the first few and no to the last 3 (which included raising the judge retirement age and giving public land to drillers, both of which I am highly against).

I'm curious to see how each is worded on the ballot. First off, the props are all going to be on the reverse side of the ballot sheet (why are we using paper in 2013?). Second, they always seem to word these things in the opposite way someone would likely vote. How about an amendment that states all proposed laws must be written in plain and common English?
