I don't see anyone in an uproar over this demonstration.  I don't know if this type of thing is the best way to change things.  Certainly it is old school thinking to be offended by breastfeeding.  I just don't think a public breastfeeding/titty show is going to change anyone's mind.
Can you imagine anyone seeing this and actually changing their minds in a positive way?

$25,000 seems pretty harsh.

I actually ask cab drives about this quite often. Even black cab drivers will admit that they often get burned by picking up black people in the city.

There's probably a scale for taxi related offenses and they just slot the offense in and get a predetermined fine, that or it pissed off the taxi commission or whoever ruled on the fine.
