Three weeks ago, it was a genuine debate as to whether Wilson would be the first overall pick if you were starting a team from scratch tomorrow. But success is so fleeting in the NFL and there have been some cracks in Seattle’s facade this year.

Theres a freak ton of guys any sane person would take way before Wilson in a draft from scratch.

Rodgers, Luck, Green are all miles ahead of him without question

Hell Wilson is 27th in passing yards/game this season. Im not going to go into my typical anti Wilson rant, the guys incredibly efficient. He just doesnt throw a lot, and this year you cant use the "well his team is so good they dont have to run it" argument. Theyre 3-3 with only 2 dominating wins

You really believe the majority of black people look down on other black people that better themselves and are educated? Why because you met 3 that think the opposite?

Almost every black person that I have met are not like that at all, that's just stupid. They ain't no different than white people other than the color of their skin in that respect. I am having a terrible time with white people that are uneducated and looking down on me because I work and go to school. In fact they are ruining my life. Is that a problem with white culture?

I definitely think at least in regards to highschool its a bigger issue in the black community (which is strongly supported by statistics on HS dropout rates)

Although ive seen a strong resistance in white culture about college. Although in the medical field they constantly want everyone to go back to school for something theyve alreayd been doing for 10-20-30 + years, so its certainly possible that thats why im exposed to such negative opinions on college from white folks

And if you check poverty rates, I'll bet you find it's similar.  Hofstadter has a great book called "Anti Intellectualism in America" about the broader issue, but it's most acute among the poorer classes.  It's a pride thing.
