Wed probably have been better off if he wasn't suspended. Since there would have been a great chance of him being injured or less than 100%.

The Denver Post's Mike Klis reports the Broncos believe suspended WR Wes Welker will play Week 1 against the Colts.
Per Klis, the Broncos think they'll have Welker this week because "suspensions are never announced this late in week" with the "game plan" already "in place." Hmm. Okay. It's only Tuesday. We're not sure what to make of this, as we've never seen a suspended player allowed to play because the suspension was announced on a certain day of the week. It would obviously be an immediate boost for fantasy owners, but Welker is still getting a four-game ban. He's simply either going to be back Week 6 or 7. We'll update when further details are available.

Welker is apparently now saying someone must have put something in his drink because he doesn't take Mollies.

Someone made a good point on Twitter last night. If this were a baseball player his HoF chances would have immediately become zero and he'd be villified. Why are football players less accountable for their drug/PED use in a sport where those things not only improve your on-field performance but also make you into a dangerous weapon to others?
