I hope he gets a new editor for this one.  I feel like Sally Menke may have been an important voice of reason in the editing room.  Not that I didn't love Django, but there are certain elements that I thought might have been refined if Menke was still alive.  In particular, the 2Pac spoken word immediately after the big shoot out was jarring and awkward.  (FYI, the guy who edited Django is Fred Raskin.  He edited half the Fast & Furious movies (all very well edited but ultimately shitty movies) and he was an assistant editor for most of PT Anderson's movies.  He also edited Guardians of the Galaxy.)

I finished the script, and I'd bet my bottom dollar that he wrote the Chris Mannix role for Walton Goggins.  I couldn't imagine anyone else playing that part. 

Then again, I thought the same thing about Will Smith and Django, so who knows?

It's like a Tarantino reunion.  I thought the Sam Jackson part should have gone to someone younger.  Doesn't matter- Walt Goggins is going to steal this movie.
