People bitched about Derrick Mason with the Jets.  He was right and people just didn't want to admit it.  He knew the offense was garbage and that the locker room was a mess.  Plaxico Burress and Santonio Holmes were douche bags.  Brian Schottenheimer was incompetent.

Jerricho Cotchery got out for the same reasons. 

Greg Salas and Stephen Hill are not good receivers.  Pay attention to other NFL teams and their receivers.  You are so freaking clueless.

FTR, I don't think Hill will get released.  He probably won't get cut based on his potential.  But he has been awful for the Jets so far and his preseason performances have been pretty bad as well. 

He is the Vladimir Ducasse of receivers.

Even Hill is mediocre at best (being generous, although hes with "potential")

But teams dont cut good receivers (thus us being able to sign a good one)

So well be stuck with mediocre (Hill) and serviceable depth (Salas)

Guys who will get cut are gonna be old/injured vets or bad rookies.

Eitherway theyd be forced to learn our offense on the fly, and likely struggle to develop a rapport with our QBs.

sure we got Nelson on the fly, but nobody thought he was healthy.

Id be shocked if we cut Hill and Salas to pick up someone else that other teams cut

Maybe we can snag a rookie that the Jets staff liked in the middle rounds of the draft, but didn't get.  If we get real lucky, he won't suck.

Colt Lyerla waived/injured with a torn PCL and MCL. GB have said that they intend to IR him assuming he clears waivers, which I imagine he will.

I can't think of a possible bad thing that could happen if Colt Lyerla has to spend the season doing nothing while being paid large amounts of money.
