Dane Belton brings something the Jets have been severely lacking at safety for a long time: He's a sure tackler.

Had the lowest missed tackle percentage (4.1) among all safeties to play at least 400 snaps, per PFF.

The Jets have a one-year agreement with former Giants S Dane Belton, per @JordanRaanan
. Can max at $6M. Played 705 defensive snaps last season: 1 INT, 120 tackles, 2 sacks. Core special teamer. Only 25. A fourth-round pick in 2022.

Malachi probably isnt a good enough starter yet. And if he is, then Belton can be a great special teamer.
